The Opportunity:Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Fabrication Quality Coordinator will monitor and document the quality of incoming and outgoing materials and product both before, during and after fabrication. Tasks include undertaking continuous inspection during the manufacturing process, conducting tests, taking, and analysing measurements and maintaining quality documentation including final acceptance sign off. The Fabrication Quality Coordinator will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating welds in strict accordance to specified inspection procedures, standards, codes, and drawings. Inspecting and assessing the quality of welding work and ensuring welds are safe and ready to function as part of the component. In addition, the Fabrication Quality Coordinator will ensure that measuring, testing, and welding equipment used in the fabrication department is operating accurately.
Responsibilities
Monitor/validate welding activities, including development of WPS, welder qualifications, inspections, technical support, and arrangement of NDE requirements.
