The Program The Indigenous Trainee Ranger Program is an exciting and rewarding 18-month opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to gain an entry-level position within the Australian Public Services, the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water and Parks Australia. Throughout the program, you will gain on the job learning and exposure to the workings of the Public Service and Parks Australia. During this time, you will obtain a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, complete multiple rotations within the National Park with exposure to Operations, Finance, Tourism and Visitor
