Reporting directly to the Australian Country Manager, the Senior Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving our sales success. You’ll not only maximize revenue from our existing accounts through strategic relationship management, but you'll also be on the front lines, hunting for and securing exciting new business opportunities. In this dynamic role, you'll champion the sale of our full range of services—including sea and airfreight, warehousing, trucking, and forwarding divisions. With the vast array of services at your disposal, your deep understanding of customer needs and tailored supply chain solutions will be key to delivering exceptional value and driving growth.
Here’s some of what you’ll do:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive key account management strategy for approximately 50 accounts, guided by senior leadership, including creating detailed budgets for volume, revenue, and yield for each account.
- Proactively maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities while securing spot business to drive growth.
- Monitor and report on budget performance, comparing actuals versus targets, and provide insights on container demand to help the logistics team optimize inventory.
- Design and deliver tailored supply chain solutions, leveraging app technology for track-and-trace capabilities, and integrating our warehousing and trucking services for seamless door-to-door solutions.
- Implement effective customer relationship strategies, including regular call cycles, client entertainment, and other communication initiatives to enhance engagement.
- Negotiate and close sales deals at optimal pricing and yield, always adhering to company guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with the international sales team to coordinate proactive and responsive sales actions, ensuring timely distribution and response to sales leads and market intelligence.
- Maintain excellence in written communication, including precise and professional quotations, sales leads, and reports.
- When applicable, lead the identification, negotiation, management, and execution of special events, trade shows, and retail functions.
- Consistently represent the brand with integrity, ensuring positive client relationships and open doors for future business.
