About the role
Thiess currently have great permanent fulltime opportunities available for Blast Hole Drillers to join our team at QCoal Northern Hub. Reporting to theDrill & Blast Supervisor, you will be highly motivated and work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
The QCoal Northern Hub is situated in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, about 200 kilometres northwest of Mackay and 6km south of Collinsville.
Working a 7 on and 7 off roster you will:
Work in accordance with sites procedures
Accurately check the quality and depth of drill holes and record ground conditions that may affect blasting;
Maintain a clean and tidy Drill rig and report/address any maintenance faults;
Demonstrate a positive attitude towards regular and reliable drill metres, rig utilisation and consumables usage;
Provide neat and complete associated documentation for drill reports and pre-starts checks;
