Majans is currently looking for Quality and Food Safety Coordinator to join their team.
Overview of the role:
Reporting to the Quality and Food Safety Manager, this is a key role as a part of the R&D team to help maintain the quality and food safety of products made in accordance with product specifications and regulatory requirements. The role includes development and implementation of quality systems and regulatory requirements including internal audits, vendor management system, shelf-life management, lab management etc.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development and maintenance of Quality systems by writing/ reviewing SOPs/ WI etc.
* Create and maintain food safety and quality related records
* Training production staff as required to ensure food safety and quality
* Assess all suppliers/materials as a part of approved supplier program and manage them on an ongoing basis
* Complete quality of materials and complete IIR form of each batch of raw materials
* Testing of finished goods-gluten, shelf-life etc.
* Send samples for external testing as per verification schedule
* Provide support for production related to quality and food safety
About you:
* Preferable degree in Food Technology or equivalent
* HACCP trained (desirable)
* Production and GMP experience (desirable)
* Understanding of SQF requirements/ HACCP principles
* Knowledge of food safety and quality hazards
* Computer skill
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Salary: $70,000 to 75,000 a year (commensurate to skills and experience)
