Position: Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
• Analyse and evaluate software systems to identify user needs, ensuring our hazard identification and reporting software remains at the forefront of technological advancement.
• Upgrade and refine existing software, pinpointing and resolving system weaknesses to enhance operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
• Engage in rigorous testing and debugging of software solutions, ensuring robustness and adherence to predefined quality and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain precise code and software documentation, tailored to support system requirements and project goals in line with industry best practices.
• Offer strategic advice and technical expertise to guide the development of software solutions, contributing to internal decision-making on technology investments and upgrades.
• Collaborate closely with the operations team to integrate software solutions that support the seamless delivery of hazard inspection and repair services.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Design and implement software tools that directly support the identification and documentation of trip hazards, aligning with regulatory compliance and client expectations.
• Maintain active involvement in continuous software improvement processes to drive cost efficiency and operational effectiveness in hazard management practices.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, typically involving 38 hours per week.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software engineering or development.
