About the Employer:
Our client Westwood Farms [ABN 94 802 116 080] is a large mixed farming operation running sheep and predominantly growing canola, wheat and barley on the southeast coast of Western Australia. The business is located approximately 100 km west of Esperance.

Westwood Farms are seeking a highly experienced Senior Broadacre and Livestock Farm Worker to join their dynamic team. This role offers an opportunity to lead critical operations across Westwood’s expansive farmlands and ensure the highest standards of agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Broadacre Crop Management: Oversee and perform skilled tasks in the management, supervision, and execution of planting, cultivating, and harvesting of broadacre crops. Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to best practices in crop production.
- Livestock Management: Direct and manage livestock breeding programs, including the rearing and care of young livestock. Implement and supervise comprehensive feeding and watering programs to maintain animal health and productivity.
- Equipment and Machinery: Supervise and undertake the operation, maintenance, and servicing of all farming equipment and specialised machinery. Ensure that all equipment is used efficiently and safely.
- Farm Infrastructure: Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of farm infrastructure, including fencing, trellising, and water supply systems, ensuring they are in excellent condition and meet operational needs.
- Workforce Management: Organise, train, and supervise farm workers, ensuring that all work routines are followed, and day-to-day production operations run smoothly.
- Technology and Data Management: Supervise, maintain, and operate advanced data collection, analysis, and production technology systems to enhance farm productivity and decision-making processes.
- Chemical Application: Where necessary, oversee or carry out the safe and effective application of pesticides and other chemicals, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in broadacre farming and livestock management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong understanding of farm machinery operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices and livestock welfare.
- Competence in using farm management software and technology.
- Relevant qualifications in agriculture or a related field.

This is a permanent full-time position offering a salary of $90,000 to $110,000 to the right candidate (depending on experience).
