What You'll Do
We currently have a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager - Corporate to join our Group Finance team where you will provide commercial and decision support analysis delivering key insights from costing trends and drivers.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will provide business partnering and support to the NRMA’s Corporate business functions including Technology, People & Culture, Property, Finance & Operations, Legal, Governance & Investments. You will be a trusted advisor to support stakeholders throughout the various planning cycles and provide an independent source of financial advice and thought leadership.
This role offers hybrid work arrangements from our Sydney CBD and Sydney Olympic Park offices with the flexibility to work from home as agreed and required.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Attending leadership forums to present the key financial and operational metrics against targets
- Conduct regular sessions with the CTO to evaluate the financial implications of the Technology strategy and operating model
- Build financial models to support technology to understand scenarios and options for initiatives as well as provide validation of business cases
- Provide guidance on optimal operating models to support future demand/capex considerations
- Provide commercial support and recommendations on vendor selection
- Identify areas of financial risk and opportunities to maximise efficiency and service
- Create and operate the financial models that help with forecasting and budgeting
- Provide commercial support to the strategic planning process
- Development and sign off of annual budgets and robust quarterly RF forecasts
- Development and ownership of the recharge model for shared services and network allocations
- Produce, review and deliver monthly performance packs with analysis and insights against targets and objectives, including benefits realisation on tech projects
- Ad-hoc deep dives and analysis into risks and opportunities for each corporate functional area
- Continue to seek improvements in the reporting and tracking of performance
- Tracking of labour spend and FTEs against target and ensure staff capitalisation in line with policy
- Manage overall supplier spend and SLAs.
What You'll Bring
- Degree qualifications and CPA/CA qualified
- 3-5 years’ experience working in commercial management in a large organisation, preferably in a similar industry sector
- Strong reporting and presentation skills
- Attention to detail with strong financial analysis and modelling skills
- Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships
- Ability to critically evaluate proposals and opportunities and offer commercial judgements
- Proficient use of financial and reporting tools (Oracle, TM1)
