What you’ll be doing  
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team in the role of Release of Information Officer. This role will see you managing and responding to requests for health information from legal firms, customers, and other external parties, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Raising invoices, ensuring payment, handling subpoenas, and managing child protection and family violence information sharing requests.
  • Accessing client management systems to download and respond to information requests
  • Liaising with offsite storage providers for record scanning, and assist the Privacy and Health Records Coordinator with the review, redaction, and collation of health information in consultation with care teams.
  • Ensuring the secure transfer and upload of documents to client management systems.
  • manage the transfer of documents to other health services, and respond to assessment requests.
  • Record management, including assisting with the storage, archiving, and destruction of health information, participating in relevant committees and working groups, and supporting teams with accreditation standards preparation and evidence gathering.

Who we’re looking for
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in privacy or health records management, high-level verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and an understanding of multi-stream services and working within a multidisciplinary organisation.

You will also have demonstrated ability to work autonomously and utilise discretion, ability to work directly with customers to resolve complaints and advanced computer literacy.
