What You'll Do

We currently have a full-time permanent opportunity for a talented Change Management Lead to join our PMO team.  You will be responsible for leading the change community and be involved with projects and programs of work including effective planning of business and member-impacting changes through to embedding and post go-live support to ensure successful change implementation and change that support the strategic objectives of the business.  Reporting to the Head of the PMO, you will also manage the change heat mapping and change saturation monitoring across multiple business units to proactively manage resourcing requirements and change impacts across the board. 

As the leader of the Change Management function, you work with the wider PMO team and key stakeholders across the NRMA, to provide change management expertise guidance and support to enable the successful delivery of projects.

This role offers hybrid work arrangements from our Sydney CBD and Sydney Olympic Park offices with the flexibility to work from home as agreed and required.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Be the change leader across the NRMA change community including mentoring and coaching direct reports and project teams on change management methodology and tools to uplift people capabilities and enable a consistent change approach across projects
  • Conduct stakeholder impact analysis to ensure all impact stakeholders are identified for changes
  • Ensure business readiness assessments are conducted, evaluated and monitored for all key projects including impacts on processes, people, customers and technology
  • Create and implement change management plans including stakeholder engagement, training and communication for selected strategic projects
  • Set up change champion communities for large transformational projects and programs of work
  • Create and deliver communication plans on an as needs basis (for example, launch new tools, processes, policy etc)
  • Provide guidance to leadership teams to ensure their participation, support and delivery of change management strategies and report on portfolio insights and change impacts
  • Assess and develop the method, tools and templates for change management across the NRMA Group
  • Produce all Change Management artefacts required to progress projects through the project lifecycle and approvals
  • Build, deliver and maintain heat mapping processes to proactively manage change saturation and fatigue and monitor risks
  • Provide guidance to team members and project teams on execution of change activities
  • Build a knowledge repository of change management lessons learnt across each project
  • Effectively communicate change management updates on projects with high quality presentations suitable for a senior leadership audience
  • Be responsible for change management resource management and allocation across the portfolio as required
  • As a member of the PMO leadership team, contribute to how the PMO operates and put forward ideas for continuous improvement in our ways of working.

What You'll Bring

  • PROSCI Certified (or similar Change Management certification)
  • 5+ years’ experience in change management and a track record of effective change impact analysis, planning, implementation and embedding ideally using the ADKAR model
  • Demonstrated experience in both waterfall and agile ways of working (preferable not essential)
  • Experience leading and coaching a small team of Change Managers and Change Analysts
  • Proven experience in managing change saturation and fatigue through heat mapping and proactive change planning
  • Experience developing and managing a holistic approach to change initiatives across multiple concurrent projects, and the broader divisional portfolio
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Experience working with Project Managers and Program Managers to effectively plan and deliver change on projects
  • Solid understanding of how people go through a technology/business change and the change process
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication across all levels of an organisation
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, building confidence and a solid reputation and personal brand with senior leaders across the NRMA
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity to define clear outcomes and solutions with a flexible approach
  • Strategic and problem-solving abilities with root cause identification skills
  • Highly organised and able to effectively prioritise work and allocate resources.
