Details: The position will support the Directorate in strategically managing the risk from fire to life property and the environment as well as promoting the application of fire in the delivery of environmental and cultural programs across 70% of the ACT. The position will work under limited direction and collaborate with colleagues across all areas of the Directorate and government to meet agreed objectives.
In the context of a changing climate, the position will be responsible for collaboratively leading the delivery of:
the Regional Fire Management Plan (RFMP);
a yearly EPSDD Bush Fire Operational Plan (BOP) involving programming, delivery, auditing and reporting on outcomes;
