ABOUT THE ROLE
Assistance with self-care (including showering and personal hygiene), domestic assistance and meal preparation, social support, and transportation.
Key Responsibilities
• Support participants' according to their NDIS plan
• Help participant to achieve independence to self-care services and supports for future life.
• Make sure participants connected to proper supports and services.
• Understand the NDIS Plan for the participants.
• Feedback
• Plan for crisis and doing evaluation.
REQUIREMENTS & COMPLIANCES
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
• NDIS Worker Screening
• National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
• Evidence of up-to-date vaccinations (including Covid vaccination)
• Current driver's license
• Evidence of a motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Relevant Qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Diploma in Disability Studies)
• Experience working with people with disabilities
• Bilingual staff preferable (Languages: English, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Indonesian, Burmese, Indian, Malay, Vietnamese)
• Demonstrated commitment to the values of dignity, respect for diverse cultural backgrounds, privacy, confidentiality, person-centered, and strength-based care.
