Scheduler Planner – Truck Manufacturing

About our client: We build Vac (NDD) and water trucks, 100% Australian made with a strong focus on quality and service, utilising Australian suppliers and products wherever possible.
Therefore, we must keep our production line running smoothly to keep our clients supplied with top quality vehicles.
We’re on the lookout for a savvy Scheduler Planner to join our team and help us keep everything on track. If you’re great at juggling schedules and making sure parts are where they need to be, this job is for you!
What You’ll Do:
• Plan Production:• Create and manage production schedules to ensure parts and materials arrive just in time (JIT) for truck assembly.
• Supplier Coordination:• Communicate with suppliers to order parts, track deliveries, and handle any hiccups that come up.
• Work with the Team:• Team up with our internal tradespeople and departments to ensure everything’s in place for smooth production.
• Manage Inventory:• Keep an eye on inventory levels, anticipate future needs, and handle reorders to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Troubleshoot:• Solve scheduling conflicts, delays, and other production issues quickly and effectively.
• Report Back:• Share regular updates on schedules, inventory, and supplier performance.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience:• You’ve got a solid background in scheduling or planning in a manufacturing setting, preferably with trucks or automotive.
• Communication Skills:• You’re a pro at talking with suppliers, tradespeople, and team members.
• Tech Savvy:• You’re comfortable using Excel at a proficient level – think formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Organizational Skills:• You’re detail-oriented and can manage multiple tasks with ease.
• Problem Solver:• You can think on your feet and tackle issues before they become problems.
• Educational Background:• A degree or certification in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or something similar is a plus, but not essential.
