About the Opportunity
The People Services Officer is responsible for providing customer-centric support and insightful advice on a range of employment and HR matters. As the first point of contact in Human Resources, the People Services Officer is critical to ensuring exceptional employee experience.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing assistance and advice regarding employment matters of a general nature including University policy and procedure, employment terms and conditions, pay-related enquiries, and safety and wellbeing.
- Track and resolve internal and external enquiries, using a service management tool (Service Now) and/or escalate to appropriate HR or University colleagues.
About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making and time management skills.
- Exceptional clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style dependent on each customer/stakeholder
- Proficient use of database applications (PeopleSoft and ServiceNow will be highly regarded), as well as the MS Office Suite.
- Previous experience in a professional customer service role with a track record of effectively managing customer queries and complaints, ideally in a service delivery environment, will be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, Safety, or a relevant field (desirable)
The successful candidate must have unrestricted Australian work rights and will be subject to a national criminal history check. Please note sponsorship is not available for this role.
What we can offer
This is fixed term opportunity for 2 years and is based at our Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
HEW Level 5 base salary range $76,236 - $85,525 + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range package range $89,197 - $100,064 per annum.
