About the role
An opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Technical Production Planner to join the team located at SKF’s Head Office in Oakleigh.
You will contribute to the profitable growth of the overall SKF business, through design projects, solutions development, quotation, scheduling and delivery of customised products.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Assess client’s technical requests, liaise with projects & design team to develop solutions
• Review existing solutions; develop/design variants or new solutions as required
• Liaise with Engineering team to assess material costs, quantities, and other requirements
• Quotation development
• Receive & process client orders
• Select relevant competent suppliers (tools and equipment) & place purchase orders
• Schedule & manage production orders and Quality Control Activities
• Expedite deliveries
About You
To be considered for this role you will have:
• A Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of 3-4 years relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of production systems & process controls,
• Strong understanding and knowledge of foundry technology & machine shop operations
• Knowledge of SKF housing, seal and bearing product technologies & specifications
• Project management and common tools used for managing complex performance-based projects
• Competence with ERP systems (SAP, C4C, iTMS)
• Strong leadership skills business acumen
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent networking capability
