Position: Motor Mechanic (General)

Salary: $73,500 plus superannuation

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. This role is crucial in ensuring our clients’ vehicles are in top condition, meeting safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and Repair: Identify mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles, including engines, transmissions, suspension, and steering systems.
2. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake servicing, and fluid checks.
3. Testing and Adjustments: Conduct thorough testing of vehicles after repairs and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
4. Parts Replacement: Replace worn or defective parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and filters.
5. Compliance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks comply with industry standards and regulations.
6. Customer Interaction: Provide clear explanations of the issues identified and the repairs needed to customers, ensuring they understand the work being carried out.
7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications (Certificate III or higher) in Automotive Technology, Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent education level
2. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a Motor Mechanic, with a strong background in repairing and maintaining various vehicle models.
3. Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent mechanical skills.
4. Work Rights: Must have full working rights in Australia.
5. Attributes: Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
