Fixed Term contract until end of June 2025
Your new role
As the Maintenance Manager you'll be leading the sustainment maintenance activities and processes ensuring that the ships are maintained throughout the life in accordance with the support contract and seaworthiness requirements.
Manage and lead a core team of maintenance practitioners to ensure the ships are maintained in accordance with the support contract within the Asset Management and Seaworthiness frameworks
Implements a Continuous improvement program ensuring lessons learnt are identified and improvements implemented
Manage administrative actions necessary to ensure the correct technical recording and reporting processes are followed in accordance to the approved Maintenance Management Plan.
Ensure that Industry partners and subcontractors are correctly managed and maintenance is acquitted in accordance with the Annual Work Plan
Facilitate Maintenance Planning Conferences to review
Manage and maintain the maintenance configuration baseline for life of type
Maintain the Maintenance Management System
What you'll need to succeed
Must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for required Australian Defence Security Clearances
Tertiary qualified level practitioner (preferably maintenance related field)
Proven experience as a leader working with maintenance teams and project managers to develop and maintain management plans and baselines
Excellent project management skills including budgeting and scheduling
Experience with maintenance management software
Strong understanding of inventory management and of ILS products and where they fit in the maintenance activity lifecycle
Significant experience in a Defence related Naval industry
