Aerofloat offers standardised plants or custom-designed solutions utilising patented Aerofloat technology, as well as other leading-edge products, to address a range of wastewater treatment requirements. Aerofloat offers comprehensive servicing and chemical supply packages to its clients across various industries.
Aerofloat’s engineering side of business is growing and now requires a full-time Mechanical Engineer to support our growing customer base. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a team of skilled, motivated, and passionate engineers who collaborate closely and support one another in delivering a diverse set of projects for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Engineer (Design):
• Collaborate with the Design Manager and engineering team to meet design objectives.
• Perform detailed process and mechanical design calculations to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop comprehensive designs for projects, offering support to subcontractor designers when necessary.
• Create and draft various drawings, including 2D and 3D layouts, process diagrams, and manufacturing drawings.
• Participate in client HAZOPs, site meetings, design reviews, and plant/process design sessions.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and ISO regulations.
• Resolve design-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Providing on-site support and collaborating with project teams to ensure smooth procurement, manufacturing, and installation of Aerofloat’s projects.
• Assit in procurement of structural members and pipes for manufacturing purposes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
• Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering (Design), preferably in wastewater treatment or related industries.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks) and experience with 2D and 3D design.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and ISO regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
