Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Agricultural Pilot to join our team. As an Ag Pilot, you will play a crucial role in applying crop protection products, fertilizers, and seeds to ensure optimal agricultural productivity. This position requires a combination of technical flying skills and a deep understanding of agricultural practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct aerial applications of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers, and seeds with precision and efficiency.
• Perform pre-flight inspections of aircraft to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Plan flight paths and application strategies based on weather conditions, crop types, and customer requirements.
• Monitor and report on weather conditions and make adjustments to flight plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of flight activities, application rates, and product usage.
• Collaborate with agronomists, farm managers, and other stakeholders to optimize application practices.
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines for agricultural aviation.
Qualifications:
• Valid commercial pilot’s license with an agricultural experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an agricultural pilot.
• Strong knowledge of crop protection products and agricultural practices.
• Excellent flying skills with a focus on precision and safety.
• Ability to interpret weather data and adjust flight plans accordingly.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Air Tractor planes.
• Certification in advanced aerial application techniques.
• Knowledge of local agricultural regulations and best practices.
