Job description
Our client, within State Government has a temporary opportunity until 31st of December with a possibility of an extension for 2x experienced Business Support Officer to join their team. You will be responsible for the accurate entry of timesheets, labour costing, leave, staff movements and extensions for field and office-based staff as well as answering general payroll queries from staff. To be successful in this role you will need to have:
An understanding of payroll principals and processing
A high attention to detail and the ability to pick up on errors prior to processing
Excellent communication skills and the ability to answer a variety of queries on payroll
The ability to read and interpret legislation and award details
The ability to work as a part of a team and contribute to a culture of performance excellence
