An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to join their dynamic 300 strong team in a leadership role.
Your new role
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of this $45m civil maintenance project. With a strong focus on concrete structures, and with 2 direct engineer reports, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions
Lead and mentor a team of 2 engineers
Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures on all project sites.
Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges promptly.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil construction, 2 years in a Senior or Lead role
Experience working on similar-sized projects for another civil contractor
Strong knowledge of civil construction principles and practices.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
