SUMMARY:

PSNS Group Holdings Pty Ltd, based in Cranbourne, Victoria, is a dynamic and growing company, offering a broad range of services across multiple industries. With a strong commitment to excellence PSNS Group Holdings is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the company's financial integrity and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements while supporting strategic business decisions.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Manage payroll processes and ensure timely payments.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies.
- Prepare financial statements for management and statutory bodies.
- Conduct financial investigations and prepare detailed reports.
- Advise on business mergers, capital financing, and insolvency matters.
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements.
- Provide taxation advice on business operations and structures.
- Prepare and lodge taxation returns for individuals and organisations.
- Maintain and introduce effective accounting systems.
- Liaise with financial institutions to establish funding arrangements.
- Manage internal control systems to safeguard financial data.
- Appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital projects.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and tasks.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role within Australia.
- Proficient in accounting software such as MYOB and Xero.
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple financial tasks for associated businesses.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
