Salary: $80,000 plus 11.5% super
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time

Waxy's Irish Pub is a vibrant and iconic venue located in the heart of Surfers Paradise. Known for its authentic Irish atmosphere, Waxy's offers a unique experience with a combination of traditional Irish cuisine, a wide selection of beers and spirits, and live entertainment. Our pub is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, providing a warm and welcoming environment.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team at Waxy's Irish Pub. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of service while driving business growth. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:
• Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure the restaurant is always fully staffed and operational, managing rosters and scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
• Monitor and manage compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
• Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all guests.
• Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure they deliver excellent service.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Monitor and control costs, including labour, food, and beverage costs.
• Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
• Plan and coordinate special events, promotions, and live entertainment in collaboration with the marketing team.
• Manage bookings for private functions and ensure events run smoothly.

Qualifications:
• Diploma in Hospitality (preferred but not mandatory).

Skills & Experience Required
? At least 2 years of proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
? Strong leadership and team management skills.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
? Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting.
? A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
