PR and Events Executive

We're looking for a passionate and skilled PR and Events Executive to support our Head of PR and manage a diverse range of responsibilities. You will be enhancing our brand profile, managing media relations, and orchestrating memorable events. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a flair for creating impactful communications, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you can expect:

  • Provide strategic support to the Head of PR 
  • Oversee the development and execution of new product launches and press office functions
  • Collaborate with the Local Area Marketing team to boost the visibility of our restaurants, partnership and sponsorships
  • Coordinate and manage consumer events (e.g sponsorship activations, menu launches) and internal events (e.g Annual Summits, CSR activities, team engagement events)
  • Handle end to end management of national and state-based partnerships, including contract negotiation, stakeholder management, runsheet development, and activation coordination
  • Manage and grow our media influencer relationships, including recruitment for the GYG VIP program
  • Assist in creating media materials such as press releases, pitches, and content for GYG's owned channels including blogs and the website
  • Develop and implement communication strategies in partnership with Head of PR
  • Provide regular media monitoring reports and updates for the GYG network

You'll enjoy this role if you have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Professional communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications kills
  • Strong networking abilities with established media relationships
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail

The salary banding for this role is $70K - $80K per annum.
