Today company logo

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team. You will define and design effective, usable and magical experiences, collaborating with other designers, technologists and strategists to bring those experiences to life.

About the role

You’ll be working on translating technical requirements into user-friendly designs within a multi-year service transformation program. You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams to ensure the final product aligns with business objectives and technical specifications.

Your mission is to champion great user experience, human-centred research and accessibility on projects ranging from large-scale qualitative research studies to app design, testing and refinement.

You’ll blend research, design, content and strategy to conduct high-quality research, create and test prototypes, low-fidelity concepts, and well-documented designs. Your work is marked by a solid foundation of user and business value, sound structure, and usability.

Your focus

  • Engage a wide range of stakeholders (including executives, business analysts, subject matter experts) to consolidate knowledge, get alignment and progress designs
  • Facilitate design discussions and workshops
  • Execute thoughtful, usable and accessible design including wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for a range of platforms; ensuring compliance and best-practice usability and accessibility
  • Conduct high quality research using a mix of methods to understand user needs, behaviours and the usability of designs
  •  Advocate for users, translating research findings into design solutions, recommendations and journey maps
  • Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation and reporting

Our commitment

Even if you don’t perfectly match every criterion or consider yourself too junior, we encourage you to apply. Research shows that many qualified individuals hesitate to apply unless they meet all requirements—regardless, we prioritise potential over a checklist.
We warmly welcome applications from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals with disabilities, those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, mature age workers, and members of the LGBTIQA+ community.

You have

  • A passion for great user-centred design, for digital and beyond
  • Creative problem solving and adaptability
  • Client and stakeholder management skills
  • A penchant for a collaborative, creative, supportive team culture
  • An eye for detail

You also

  • Thrive in a collaborative, creative team environment
  • Approach every moment with a “how can I help?” attitude
  • Treat others with kindness, empathy, and respect.
