GVC are providing recruitment support to Petfocus Vetcare, Winner of Excellence in Innovation 2019 Albury-Wodonga Business Awards for their brand-new species segregated clinic and hospital which became operational in October 2018. The brand-new facility is owned and operated by Dr Renee Pigdon, a local family girl with the vision of bringing city standards of care to the pets of the Border in a personalised, professional, and nurturing manner. The Petfocus Vetcare team are looking for a full-time veterinary nurse to join our growing team and hospital.
Our clinics and hospitals are set out within a 500sqm space and have separate dog and exotic pet and cat zones. The new facility also has hydrotherapy, advanced imaging, a mobile call out service as well as a comprehensive in house Idex lab and a new endoscopy suite. Visiting specialists and consultants include a dermatologist, surgeon, ophthalmologist, and acupuncturist. Our hospitals are thoroughly enjoyed by pet parents with visiting rooms and spacious waiting and consultation areas. Our cat clinic and hospital have Gold Accreditation with the International Society of Feline Medicine.
Our facility is set in the beautiful big Border twin town - Albury -Wodonga on the edge of Lake Hume and the mighty Murray River. There is plenty to keep yourself occupied in your spare time with snow skiing, hiking, water sports, wineries and great restaurants, just to name a few!
We are a family of experienced veterinarians and veterinary nurses that work together happily as a great team and enjoy supporting one another whilst we enjoy getting on with our high level of pet care. The practice is located in Lavington, Albury/Wodonga on the NSW & VIC border.
What we need:
• This role involves a 38 hour week split over four weekdays with one Saturday in three, although Part time applicants will be considered.
• High standard of nursing skills (anaesthetic monitoring, IV catheter placement, blood collection, nurse consultations, use of Idex equipment)
• A comprehensive knowledge of Rx works Outstanding customer service and phone manner
• Well presented and a good team player
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
• Enthusiastic toward interacting with and training of junior staff
