Due to a significant project pipeline, AECOM’s Structures Group is seeking a highly motivated professional/intermediate level Structural Engineer to join our Buildings team based in Sydney. You will be given the opportunity to work closely with a team of specialists to develop your structural engineering knowledge and design skills on a range of local, regional and inter-state projects.
What will a day in this role look like:
- Design and analyse buildings and other related structures to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulations.
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications and other documents for design, construction and other related activities.
- Attend client meetings, Liaise with contractors, architects and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with design and construction requirements by providing technical advice and guidance on projects.
- Perform site inspections, review shop drawings and responding to contractors or client’s Request for information queries (RFIs).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices by undergoing site inspections and assisting with the review of drawings and calculations prepared by other engineers.
