The workshop enjoys a full order book, and so our client is now seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join the team. The business offers ongoing training and development, so this employer will enable you to stay on top of the trade.

About the role:
Our client has an excellent opportunity for a motor mechanic to join the team as their business continues to grow. This role will allow you to utilise your minimum two years (preferably more) trade experience to provide service, maintenance and repairs to a wide range of late model and family cars. Excellent training, conditions and a super supportive team are part of the attractive offer available here. The role is full time and ongoing.
Location: Cranbourne West
Responsibilities include:
• Provide first rate servicing and repairs to a wide range of vehicles. Cars being serviced are either being readied for sale in the company’s yard or are owned by customers.
• Identify mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes and brake inspections, as well as more complex repairs like engine rebuilds, transmission overhauls and replacing worn or damaged parts.
• Fitting of tyres, tyre rotation and wheel alignments.
• Adhere to safety standards, following safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper disposal of hazardous materials and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Provide guidance and support to customer facing staff, and customers.
You should be able to demonstrate the following attributes and strengths to be considered:
• Highly relevant trade qualifications (minimum Certificate IV or equivalent).
• At least 2 years post training professional experience, preferably more.
• Full Australian Driver’s License.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Solid references.
• A can-do attitude and team spirit.
• Great time management skills.
• Excellent customer facing skills, patience and empathy.
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights.
