About the position
Position title: Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week)
Location: Tabbita NSW 2652
As a part of our ongoing dedication to offer quality processed vegetables, we're in search of an enthusiastic Mobile Plant Operator to enrol in our team. Working with the Managers, you will be an integral part of the team across both farm and factory, assisting to improve the quality standards of our iconic Aussie products.
Duties include
• Preparing and positioning plant for operation
• Operating tractor-drawn plant to plough land and sow, fertilise, cultivate and harvest crops
• Calibrating and monitoring plant performance, including adjusting speed, height and depth of implements
• Operating plant to clean, sort and grade the crop to size and specification
• Preparing and maintaining production and work records and writing work reports
• Servicing plant and performing minor repairs
• Operating agricultural and horticultural plant to clear and cultivate land
• Assess, monitor and spray crops. Calculate tank load mixture, mix chemical, ensure plant is set up correctly and maintain records.
• Working on the production lines, ensuring the vegetables are processed according to the desired specification and required standard
About You
• AQF Certificate II or equivalent overseas qualification, OR at least one year of practical work experience
• 3+ years practical experience in the agricultural or food manufacturing industry in a similar role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Sound decision making ability and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated organisational skills and a methodical approach to work
• Strong attention to detail
• Experienced operating tractors and other farm equipment
• Capable of working both unsupervised and as part of a team
• Flexible in approach to work and willing to put in the time and effort required in seasonal peaks
• Must have an Australian Driver’s Licence
• Must have unrestricted right to work in Australia
• Adherence to WHS regulations
Remuneration
$75k - $85k per annum plus super, based on the applicant’s experience and skills.
