Position Title: Full-time Civil Engineer
Annual Salary: $90,000 + Superannauation

Introduction:
Vivid Civil is a highly experienced team of Structural, Forensic, and Civil Engineering consultants, proudly registered across Victoria, NSW, QLD, and NT, with our base in Melbourne. We are looking for an experienced & forward-thinking full-time Civil Engineer for an immediate start.

Duties:
• Review project specifications and drawings to determine the construction methods, materials, costs and standards
• Managing the design changes/ variations
• Planning, scheduling and executing construction activities
• Monitoring the construction and developing daily reports to forecast the projects
• Forecasting and allocating resources for the project
• Estimating quantities
• Organizing and maintaining tender documents
• Supervising and coordinating with the site workers
• Resolving the design and development problems throughout the project schedule
• Monitor and ensure the projects are completed on time and within the allocated budget
• Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of the project
• Coordinating and communicating with the clients
• Conduct forensic investigations and prepare detailed condition/ causation reports and scope of works.
• Travel interstate on a fortnightly/monthly basis to oversee and manage projects across different states.
• Respond to urgent site requests to provide make-safe solutions, ensuring immediate and effective safety measures.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Design civil infrastructure including roads and drainage systems, ensuring effective and sustainable solutions for various projects.
• Perform structural design for residential and commercial structures, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.



Skills and Experience:
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering is required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of tender methodology (costing, risk and opportunities)
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated leadership skills to manage and supervise wider project team
• Ability to complete site audits and observations in line with WH&S requirements
• Advanced knowledge of structural design principles, forensic analysis, and insurance claims.
• Advanced proficiency in structural modelling and design software.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with team membsers, contractors, clients, councils, and various stakeholders.
• Strong time management skills to efficiently balance site visits, design, reporting, and supervision of team’s work.
