Our client is a Public Sector Authority located within the Toowoomba Region. They are looking for a strong value-based principal program manager who is confident in dynamic business environments, and with hearts to serve the community.
Your new role
As a principal program manager, you will lead and manage a team of project managers to deliver programs and projects with the purpose of maximising benefits and minimising potential adverse organisation/ community and project impacts. You will be part of The Project Services Branch which is responsible for delivering civil infrastructure and roadworks projects.
Key accountabilities:
Manage key executive, customer, and stakeholder interfaces for complex and major programs/projects.
Manage and review the standards of work and deliverables of staff, project consultants, and contractors.
What you'll need to succeed
You have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client area and project board relationships and expectations. Additionally, you have strong leadership skills and experience in the planning, design, and construction of roadworks and civil infrastructure. Most importantly, you value accountability, teamwork, honesty, and respect. You must have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and be registered as an RPEQ (Civil), or the ability to become RPEQ (Civil) within 12 months of appointment or as agreed.
Desirable Qualification:
Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or internationally accepted equivalent.
