SALARY: $73,150 - $75,000 per annum
Rusty N Co is a vibrant café in Leichhardt, known for its all-day breakfast, delicious sandwiches, fresh salads, protein-packed shakes, and refreshing frappes. We are seeking an experienced and creative Chef to join our team, taking charge of our kitchen operations and contributing to the exciting and health-conscious menu we offer. The role requires someone with a passion for café-style cuisine, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals that keep our customers coming back.
The Altitude Hospitality Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will take on a pivotal role in delivering high-quality dishes and managing kitchen operations within a busy café or restaurant environment. You will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop, plan, and execute menu items, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
• Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring cost-effective resource management.
• Supervise, train, and lead kitchen staff, ensuring a productive and collaborative team environment.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet company and customer expectations.
• Implement and monitor food safety and hygiene practices to comply with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with management to plan seasonal and promotional menus.
• Control inventory, manage budget, and track kitchen expenses.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and properly handled.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
• Diploma in Commercial Cookery or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef or Kitchen Manager in a café or restaurant environment.
• Proven experience in menu planning, kitchen management, and leading a culinary team.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for food quality and creativity.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
