Traralgon Bowls Club Inc, based in Traralgon, VIC have a vacancy for a cook in their club. This is a full-time permanent position for the person, who has the experience, skills, and passion of cooking.
Main Responsibilities
• To perform cooking duties as a commi chef or equivalent, having completed an apprenticeship or passed the appropriate trade test, and engaged in cooking baking, pastry cooking or butchering duties.
• To assist as required in other areas relating to the kitchen of the club.
• To assist in the implementation of workplace policies and procedures as directed by the Management.
• To participate as part of a team providing services to members and patrons.
• Through the application of recognised Occupational Health and Safety practices, provide a safe and healthy work environment.
• To perform all duties consistent with the policies of the Club and Statutory requirements.
Knowledge/Skills & Experience -Required
• Holds a Certificate Ill in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent.
• Holds a current Food Handling Certificate.
• At least three years of relevant experience as cook.
• Ability to implement day to day policies and procedures as directed.
Knowledge/Skills & Experience -Desirable
• Demonstrated experience in applying Occupational Health and Safety initiatives in a workplace.
• Ability to show initiative and judgement in the workplace.
Salary - $73,000 – $80,000
