SALARY: $73,150 - $75,000 per annum
ABOUT US:
Moore Park View Hotel is a vibrant pub located in the heart of Waterloo, NSW, known for our hearty pub grub served in a casual venue with TV sports, a pool table, and a leafy beer garden. We pride ourselves on offering delicious, comforting food and an inviting atmosphere for our patrons.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, and delivering exceptional meals that keep our guests coming back. This role requires an experienced individual capable of managing a kitchen, with a focus on maintaining quality, food safety, and consistency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards in every dish.
• Design and update seasonal menus in line with our pub’s style, incorporating customer feedback and food trends.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing of supplies, while maintaining cost control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and kitchen hygiene regulations.
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to best practices and maintain kitchen efficiency.
• Collaborate with the management team on promotional events and special occasions.
• Manage portion sizes and food presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to secure the best ingredients within budget.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
• Minimum Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (ANZSCO Skill Level 2).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef or Kitchen Manager, ideally in a café or restaurant environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team.
• Proven expertise in creating diverse and appealing menus.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
