POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality automotive repairs. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles in a fully equipped workshop, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform a wide range of vehicle repairs, including engine rebuilds, brake and clutch repairs, suspension and steering adjustments, and more.
• Conduct thorough diagnostic tests using the latest tools and technology to identify faults accurately.
• Carry out logbook servicing in line with manufacturer specifications.
• Liaise directly with customers to understand their concerns, provide detailed explanations, and offer accurate repair cost estimates.
• Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain transparent communication with customers throughout the repair process, securing their consent before proceeding with any additional work.
• Perform final checks to verify the effectiveness of repairs and guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Provide a 12-month warranty on all parts and labour, ensuring reliability and quality.
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve service excellence and uphold the company’s reputation for integrity.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
• Minimum Diploma of Automotive Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic in a professional workshop setting.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with experience in using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers clearly.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining service quality.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience in servicing and repairing a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Knowledge of 4WD servicing, diesel services, and auto electrical systems.
