What You’ll Be Doing

As the Team Leader for Paediatric Speech Pathology, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Speech Pathologists  to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services. You will lead a team of dedicated clinicians, providing leadership, professional support, and clinical supervision to enhance our service provision. Your leadership will extend across our Child Development and School Readiness Funded Allied Health teams in a part time capacity. This position is 4 days a week, a 2 day a week focus on leadership and clinical supervision and a 2 a week focus on service delivery. The role requires engagement with clinicians located across a number of EACH sites, including Knox and Maroondah and travel to kindergartens in the Outer East.

This role requires a confident Senior Clinician or leader with excellent communication skills.  The role includes responsibility for ensuring that team members are clinically supported, receive quality guidance debriefing and clinical supervision so that the clinicians can provide services in alignment with the EACH Service Principles, EACH Service Guides and the outcome requirements of the relevant funding bodies. Reporting to the Manager Community Health Paediatric and Counselling, you will assist the team to deliver a high quality, client-focused and outcome driven service to families and children in the Outer East. You will apply your clinical experience and skills as a Senior/lead clinician to manage and assess risk assessment/ respond and collaborate effectively with clinicians across EACH sites and within the teams.

The role will include leadership operations, clinical supervision and consultation with teams, team leaders and students, co-ordination of services and participation in Audits and accreditations.  As well as managing your own varied caseload, it would require you to work towards best practises across the teams and staff, minimising risk and ensuring client centric positive outcomes are achieved. Specifically, the clinical lead will provide day to day clinical support and leadership to the Paediatric Speech Pathology team. You will be supported by the National Clinical Lead Speech Pathology and external clinical supervision.
