Located in Northcote, Victoria, our client has been operating for over 30 years and believe in empowering their customers with knowledge and support. With an extensive service and repair network, this business is dedicated to ensuring their customers not only have the best equipment but also the know-how to achieve optimal results.
We are now seeking a talented individual to join our client’s growing team as a Business Machine Mechanic. The role is full time and ongoing.
Responsibilities include:
• Diagnose and identify faults across a wide range of sophisticated machinery and equipment.
• Adjust, repair and replace defective parts and wiring.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment and enhance reliability.
• Provide technical support and instruct users on correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions.
• Apply knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles across day-to-day operations.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities for quality control and compliance purposes.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment and enhance reliability.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements.
To be successfully considered, applicants will be able to demonstrate:
• Suitable qualifications such as a Certificate III (including at least two years of on-the-job training) or a Certificate IV in a highly relevant field of study.
• At least 2 years (preferably more) highly relevant professional experience since earning your qualifications working in similar roles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Have great attention to detail and can demonstrate a high quality of work.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
