Amy & K Pty Ltd trading as The Naked Duck is looking for a full-time cook working in North Sydney from Monday to Friday only. The annual wage will be $74,000 to 80,000 range plus superannuation.
The Naked Duck is an Australian and French eatery with an Asian twist. The menu offers the best range of fresh and healthy salads, succulent cuts of meat and poultry slowly roasted to perfection. Our fully licensed café/restaurant offers Monday to Friday dining for breakfast and lunch with daily and seasonal specials according to market produce. Wine, beer and cocktails are served from lunch onwards.
As the Naked Duck Cook, you will be responsible and required to plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food in our dining establishment on a full time basis.
This is a hand-on position. To be successful in this role you will:
• Prepare and cook food
• Be experienced in a kitchen environment and in a cook role.
• Explain and enforce hygiene regulations
• Freeze, monitor and preserve foods
• Examining food to ensure quality
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• storing food in temperature controlled facilities
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements with Chefs and managers
• Train other kitchen staff with chefs and managers
Requirements:
• Hold at least an AQF Cert III or higher qualification with 2 years’ experience or at least 3 years relevant experience will be mandatory
• Have great attention to detail
• Can work with a team or unsupervised
• Clean, neat and well presented
• Have a positive attitude
• Be punctual and reliable
• Have a creative mindset in assisting with menu planning
