Childhood Educator Assistant Trainee

Our Host Employer Singleton Council provide quality services to the community in an efficient and friendly manner encouraging responsible development. Dedicated to providing a warm and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow in, you will be working with a dedicated team who will train and guide you throughout your traineeship. You will be working with children from 6 weeks to 5 years old and will be learning from childcare educators who have extensive experience in long day care management. Your duties will include and not be limited to;

Assist Educators in the day to day operations of the centre
Document learning outcomes as the children progress
Supervise and interact with the children
Helping children with toileting times and changing nappies
Hosting group activities
Prepare and tidy children's sleeping area
Serve lunch and assist children with meal times
General centre cleaning

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

A genuine love for children and their growth and development
A strong desire to pursue childcare as a long-term career
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Committed and able to complete the Traineeship
Willingness to learn and follow instruction
Completed Year 10 or higher
