Duties:
• Prepare and cook a variety of fast food items according to established recipes and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens safely and efficiently
• Monitor food quality and presentation
• Assist in managing inventory and reporting low stock to the supervisor
• Handle customer special requests and dietary requirements
• Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely order completion
• Assist in cleaning and closing procedures at the end of shifts
Skills and Requirements:
• Previous experience in a fast food or short-order cooking role
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-pressure environment
• Good time management and multitasking skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
• Food Safety Certification (desirable)
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (desirable)
