Main duties and responsibilities
CORE OBJECTIVES INCLUDE:
Refuse Collection
• Thorough vehicle/equipment pre-starts
• Rubbish run of green wheelie bins
• Skip bin pick up, delivery and empty
• Cleaning and maintenance on equipment used
• Hydrocarbon bin check
• WMG – fence perimeter check and general tidy up
• Check all signs, delineators and bunds in WMF
• Push up and loader work at WMF
• Change tyres as needed
• Pick up road site litter as per map
• Clean out sample waste at Lab
• Check/remove waste from WWTP Bio
• Bio remediation cell work
• Complete required data sheets
Refueling:
• Refueling generators and other equipment as specified by Kai Rho Supervisor
• Monitor levels of fuel and water accumulation in bunds associated with generators or tanks being refueled and report levels to water services maintenance team
• Complete required data sheets
Water delivery/Dust Suppression
• Operate water cart to provide dust suppression to TGM roads and processing plant including fine stacking area
• Deliver potable water to designated areas as directed
• Ensure water levels are kept and water delivered to fauna ponds
• Assist in TGM emergency response drills and action as requested
• Complete required data sheets
IMPORTANT
• Equipment faults to be reported immediately
• Equipment maintenance and cleaning part of daily tasks
• Report misplacing of recyclables at WMF (aluminium cans, PET bottles, HDPE products, metals and hydrocarbons)
• Participate in incident reports where involved and report all incidences to site supervisor immediately
• Undergo periodic performance review
• Ensure daily pre-start sheets are completed correctly and handed in to Kai Rho’s site office at the end of each day
• Ensure the log sheets of machinery utilized are up to date and accurate
• Complete true and accurate records on time sheets and prestart
• Attend daily pre-start meetings
• Ensure all safety requirements are complied with to the specifications of Kai Rho and TGM safety policies
• Carry out prestart checks and housekeeping (office, workshop area, machinery) as directed by supervisor
• Compliance with Kai Rho’s policies and Procedures
OTHER Duties
• The above list is not exhaustive and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company. Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested by Supervisor.
