Description of the position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for our team to recruit an Accountant as we are growing rapidly and need someone to solve and advise on any taxation issues to our clients.
The chosen candidate will perform the following duties:
• Preparation and lodgement of company, trust, SMSF and individual income tax returns.
• Preparation and lodgement of payroll tax, BAS lodgement and other indirect tax returns.
• Analyse and review reports for tax payments and tax returns.
• Preparation of documentation and reports for direct and indirect taxes.
• Provide clients with tax planning and forecasting through critical analysis and tax reporting.
• Provide tax advice and tax support to clients.
• Monitor and maintain tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current tax law.
• Liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Responsible for transfer pricing and management fee arrangements for clients and supervision of professional and paraprofessional sta?.
Qualifications/Skills needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• At least 2 years of experience working as an accountant is a must.
• Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
• Strong grasp and knowledge of industry trends and legislations and policies.
• Experienced in accounting & tax software including Reckon Elite, Xero Tax & Quick Books.
• Advanced computer literacy in MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills.
We are offering a competitive salary package (75k to 80k plus super).
