Assistant in Nursing

We are looking for 10 Assistant in Nursing to work at our facilities based in 184-190 Broken Head Rock Suffolk Park, 2481 NSW. These positions will be available from November 2024. You’ll be supported in your role by a welcoming, experienced team along with training and development opportunities.

About the role:
Our assistant in Nursing provide assistance to our residents and at home clients, ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their wellbeing, independence, interests and choices. These includes:
• Assistance with their mobility and communication needs
• Assistance with their meals
• Engaging in social activities
• Assistance with their personal care needs
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will be responsible for maintaining hygiene and residents personal care needs such as dressing, grooming, mobility and exercise, light domestic cleaning duties, laundry, feeding, food and drink preparation, accompanying residents on outing/appointments/recreational activities in accordance with Pulse Staffing Australia Pty Ltd policies and procedures along with any activities as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
To be successful, you will have:
• Strong and clear verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Valid working rights in Australia
• Police check (valid within the last 3 years)
• Evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations in line with current requirements
• Experience in care role highly regraded
• NDIS workers screening clearance or willingness to obtain (if applicable)
• Current First Aid certificate and CPR qualification desirable
• Certificate III in individual support, disability, aged care or home and community (desirable but not essential)
• Completion of CHCCSO11 meet Personal support Needs module as part of one of the above-mentioned qualifications (desirable but not essential)
Employment details
Minimum hours: 76 hours per fortnight
Base Pay Rate: $28.60 per hour (superannuation, overtime, penalty rates, allowances and other benefits provided in addition)
Employment classification: Age care employee – direct care Level 1 under Age Care Award [MA00018]
