About the opportunity:
Reporting to the General Manager Clinical Leadership, the Residential Aged Care Clinical Lead has responsibility for the professional support and development of the clinical and care staff.
What you'll bring:
• Oversee the infection control and immunisation procedures and activities for residential aged care
• Ensuring clinical practice is contemporary, safe and evidence based
• Provide assistance and overview of design, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of training and education deliverables by the Learning Business Partners
• Identify and promote learning development opportunities and resources to assist with ongoing professional development of the current workforce
• Overseeing of transition to practice programs for nursing and care staff
• Development and review of procedures and protocols to support the delivery of care by nursing staff and/or personal carers.
• Providing professional support to nurses in residential aged care through both learning activities and clinical advice
• Undertake in-depth reviews of clinical practice at individual homes when required or directed
• Promotion of best practice clinical services and care outcomes internally, and with external stakeholders
• Initiation and/or support of clinical process improvement
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
? Recognised tertiary qualification and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
? A current Police Record Check or NDIS workers screening check clearance.
? Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
