Cobar is a rural mining community located in western New South Wales, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city living. Council owns and operates the Cobar Shire & TAFE Library, Great Cobar Museum, Lilliane Brady Village (aged care facility), Children's Services, Youth & Community Centre as well as works depots in Euabalong and Cobar.
Our core values - Accountability, Communication, Effective Leadership, Integrity and Teamwork (ACE IT) represent who we are as an organisation. They are the agreed guiding principles for how we carry out our duties and interact with our community.
Our brand new Early Learning Centre (ELC) has been architecturally designed specifically to exceed best practice industry standards and is expected to be 'open for business' any day now, with the licensed capacity to accommodate up to 88 children.
