One of our clients, Martini & Co Bayside, is looking for an experienced Chef. Martini & Co, located in the vibrant Bayside Entertainment Complex in Frankston, VIC, is revolutionizing the casual dining experience in the Melbourne suburbs. This neighborhood kitchen and bar offers a delectable range of breakfast, grazing, and main dishes, along with an enviable selection of drinks at their lively cocktail bar. Whether it’s a couple’s night out, coffee with friends, dinner with the kids, or a private cocktail party, Martini & Co is the go-to spot from dawn ‘til dusk. Their commitment to providing exceptional service and delicious food has made them a cherished part of Frankston’s dining scene.
Position: Chef
Salary: $73k-80k plus superannuation
Location: Frankston VIC 3199
Job Type: Permanent position, Full-time. Must be available to work on weekends and public holidays.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Crafting and presenting dishes with precision, ensuring every item on the menu meets the highest standards.
Innovating new recipes to expand and enhance the menu offerings.
Adapting dishes according to customer preferences and current culinary trends.
Following recipes and instructions meticulously for all signature dishes, maintaining top-quality food production.
Organizing and preparing all necessary ingredients and materials for cooking.
Supervising kitchen staff to ensure compliance with operational standards.
Providing training and guidance to kitchen personnel as needed.
Scheduling and managing the entire kitchen team efficiently.
Managing the order flow through the kitchen using the docket system.
Maintaining a clean and organized workstation, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the kitchen.

To be considered for this role, your key skills and attributes must include:

Relevant qualifications with a minimum of three years of professional experience.
Certificate IV in Cookery or an equivalent higher trade qualification.
Ability to maintain focus and lead a team effectively in high-pressure environments.
Expertise in menu planning and cost management.
Must possess unrestricted working rights in Australia.
