Location of Work: Factory 1, Fiveways Business Centre, 31 Keysborough Close Keysborough Vic -3173
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours of Work: 38 hours per week
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 + Guaranteed Superannuation
About the Position:
FLYHISPORTS is seeking a full time Accountant to be based in Keysborough, with the right attitude and relevant qualification plus at least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Implement International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Conducted analytical reviews of financial statements to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
• Handle direct and indirect taxation matters, including VAT calculations and filings.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize tax planning strategies and minimize tax liabilities.
• Conduct regular tax audits and assessments to mitigate risks and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Utilize financial management principles to optimize budget allocation and resource utilization.
• Draft management letters and audit reports and discussed them with company executives.
• Contribute to decision-making processes by providing comprehensive financial insights and analysis.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills in resolving financial discrepancies and improving financial processes.
• Proficiently use accounting software XERO for financial record keeping and reporting.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and revenue enhancement strategies.
Technical Knowledge required – this change over time as technology evolves

Qualification, Education, Experience, and Abilities required
Qualifications/Education
A relevant degree level qualification is required for this role. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant role may substitute but this will be judged on an individual case basis.
Experience/ Knowledge
Past experience gained (post qualification) in the same role for 3 years would be the minimum requirement for the incumbent to have the necessary level of proficiency.
