Our esteemed client, Jensen Group Pty Ltd, trading as Jensens Restaurant, is seeking talented and passionate full-time chefs for its vibrant restaurant in Kareela, NSW 2232.

Located in the heart of Kareela Village, Jensens Restaurant is renowned for its elegant dining experience, exceptional service, and a menu that showcases the finest in modern Australian cuisine. With a focus on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant delivers dishes that emphasize creativity, flavour, and sophistication. As Jensens Restaurant continues to grow and evolve, these chef positions offer the perfect opportunity for those inspired by innovative cooking to thrive in a collaborative environment and elevate their culinary career.

The roles are full-time with a salary ranging from 70-80K AUD per annum plus superannuation, negotiable for the right candidate.

Scope of the role:
- Lead the team to facilitate the smooth operation of the kitchen in accordance with company standards.
- Contribute to the development and execution of compelling, well-received menu concepts.
- Participate in the establishment and upkeep of protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to uphold the consistent delivery of top-tier dishes.
- Estimate and conduct precise monthly inventories of food supplies.
- Aid in the oversight of food expenses and waste management.
- Analyse recipes to assign menu item prices based on food, labour, and overhead costs.
- Supervise and maintain adherence to food safety and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure the timely delivery of services.
- Collaborate with other Head Chefs to plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as the seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers.
- Supervise cooks and assist Head Chefs in preparing food and helping other team members when needed.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.


To be considered for this role, you should
- Certificates III & IV in Commercial Cookery from Australia
- Have at least 2 years of work experience as a Chef in a similar cuisine
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety (WHS) and HACCP.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
