Melbourne Equipment Rentals (MER) is a team of EWP and height machinery experts based in Laverton North. We pride ourselves on offering some of the highest quality, most reliable equipment for rent, and service to clients all over Victoria.
Founded in 2018, MER has grown significantly in the last 5 years, and we now have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Technician to join our team.
About the Role
Your key objective will be to ensure all plant and equipment is well maintained and operating properly at all times. To this end you will perform scheduled services, breakdown and preventative maintenance as required, predominately in the workshop but some site work may be required.
The successful applicant with be trade qualified mechanic and ideally have experience in the EWP industry. They will be able to describe and demonstrate troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventive maintenance skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure plant and machinery are serviced as per logbook requirements.
• Trouble shoot and diagnose problems as required.
• Final inspection of all plant and equipment prior to despatch to customers.
• Cleaning of all access plant and equipment prior to dispatch.
• Fuel all diesel machines, maintain yard diesel tank in good and safe working order and arrange for re-filling when required.
• Keep workshop organised in a tidy manner, regularly swept and kept clean, equipment stored in an efficient and tidy manner and all electrical equipment charged.
Other duties as directed by the Workshop Manager.
