Focus Demolition and Asbestos Removal is seeking a full-time, in-house Diesel Motor Mechanic in Perth, WA. We have a large fleet of vehicles and machinery on-site and in our in-house workshop.
To be successful in the role, applicants will have:
• A highly motivated self-starter with good organizational skills and a willingness to learn and work under pressure
• Strong mechanical aptitude is essential
• Commitment to safety and teamwork
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Must be physically fit
• Drivers license
• Trade qualification as a Diesel Motor Mechanic
• Current White Card
The Scope of work we are exposed to:
• Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups on our fleet of heavy vehicles
• Maintenance and repairs to all vehicle fleet including heavy vehicles such as excavators, loaders, jaw crushers, screens and trucks
• Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in our fleet of heavy vehicles
• Dismantling, repairing and replacing engines, transmissions, steering and brakes
• Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
• Diagnosing and testing parts on excavators and trucks
• Servicing all heavy machinery and vehicles
• Work as part of a team with other mechanics and employees
• Carrying out all repairs and maintenance (including completion of all paperwork) in a timely and professional manner
• Attendance on-site to attend to breakdowns and repairs at jobs requiring repair and service.
Relevant Experience
• 2 years on the job experience
• Trade qualification as a Diesel Motor Mechanic
• Guaranteed annual earnings between $70,000 and $75,000 + Overtime (Time and a half and Double Time)
